Quebec Member of Parliament Rachel Bendayan stated that prolonged use of social media can be detrimental to children’s mental health. She pointed out that social media companies need to take more responsibility and stop allowing minors to use technologies designed to be addictive.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Carney said last month that the idea “deserves to be discussed openly and seriously in Canada,” although he has not yet reached a conclusion and said that both sides have their own reasons.<\/p>\n
