Canadian woman was killed outside a nightclub.

Peel Regional Police have identified the young woman murdered outside a Mississauga nightclub in December as 19-year-old Raneilia Richards.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. on December 31 at the Jungle event venue on Eglinton Avenue. Police said they believe Richards and a group of others were standing outside the building and were not the intended targets of the shooting.

Police said in an update on Tuesday that Raneilia was just hanging out with friends that night and meant to enjoy the night, but her life was tragically taken.

Police said she was not targeted by the suspects and was an innocent victim. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
